Let’s face it, Houston is a market saturated with window tint installers, it has become difficult for you to find the “right” installation facility for your vehicle.
You know what Window Tint is, but you don’t know all the differences.
Did you know up until the past 10 years, most window tint materials were dyed or metallized? Consumers want to add window tint to for privacy reasons, reduced interior temperatures, and hope to improve the overall appearance of the car, truck, or SUV as well.
Newer products have entered the market, and at higher price points. It’s important to learn about the pros and cons of each as you determine which window tint product makes the most sense for the application and your budget.
We're going to guide you on how to choose the right Window Tint for your car.
Standard Window Tint is the most popular and least expensive type of window tint, but rather less functional. This film is primarily used for aesthetic purposes and privacy. On the exterior, dyed film looks flat and opaque, providing some privacy while still permitting visibility from the interior depending on the shade. However, dyed film will fade over time and heat rejection properties are not particularly high.
Check out this great video explaining Standard Window Tint:
Ceramic Window Tint is the most premium film in the market and is well known (particularly in Texas) for its high-heat rejection properties. While it uses the same type of sheets as regular window film, the material is coated with ceramic particles.
Ceramic Window Tint does not contain metal, dye, nor carbon, but instead a kind of ceramic particle that is both nonconductive and nonmetallic.
While invisible to the naked eye, this built-in ceramic technology provides a high performance ultraviolet (light rays that contribute to sunburn and skin cancer), solar and infrared rejection, glare rejection, while maintaining a fully non-metal construction for no signal interference for your radio, phones, and electronic devices.
The Skin Cancer Foundation highly recommends a quality Ceramic Window Tint to protect you and your vehicle’s interior.
At Vivë, we carry SunTek’s CeramicIR (CIR) Series of Window Tint. CIR provides a beautiful non-reflective and true black hue that helps protect against fading. SunTek CIR is known for its 99% UV Protection, keeping the interior cool and exceptional heat and infrared rejection.
For a higher grade Ceramic Window Tint, we carry STEK NEX Series. This specialty film uses carbon ceramic particles with graphene. NEX series was specifically designed to not only block UV but additional harmful infrared light and has the highest solar energy rejection the market has to offer.
Like most installation facilities, not all of them are created equal. At Vivë, we have over decades of Window Tint installation in the Houston area. Our advanced installation includes filing of edges and a custom fit for your specific vehicle and all of our films include a industry leading Lifetime Warranty against peeling, bubbling and cracking.
